# InvokePort > Developer tools for AI agents, exposed through a public discovery API and a local STDIO MCP connector. Canonical origin: https://invokeport.com MCP package: invokeport-mcp@0.2.0 on npm (Node.js >=22.5.0). Configure command npx with arguments ["-y", "invokeport-mcp@0.2.0"]. On Windows hosts requiring an executable, use command cmd with arguments ["/c", "npx", "-y", "invokeport-mcp@0.2.0"]. Alternatively download the archive, run npm install ./invokeport-mcp-0.2.0.tgz locally, then configure command node with the absolute installed node_modules/invokeport-mcp/server.mjs path. Do not pass the remote archive URL to npx: npm 12 blocks it by default. Public search and schema retrieval need no API key. Invocation requires a scoped tools:invoke key with an enabled policy, allowed tool and available quota. Free tools require no USDC or payment signature. The free connector cannot call paid or external tools. ## Start here - [Agent setup](https://invokeport.com/agents): installation, configuration and one free call. - [Free catalog](https://invokeport.com/api/catalog?access=free): searchable public tool summaries. - [JSON Schema definition](https://invokeport.com/api/catalog/builtin/json-schema): input/output schema and example. - [Developer docs](https://invokeport.com/docs): API documentation. - [Package](https://www.npmjs.com/package/invokeport-mcp): versioned npm distribution. - [Download](https://invokeport.com/downloads/invokeport-mcp-0.2.0.tgz): standalone package archive. ## Tools and access The MCP server exposes search_capabilities, get_capability and invoke_capability. Supported free IDs in connector 0.2.0: openapi-security, json-schema, csv-json, json-types, webhook-check, json-repair, json-csv. The published npm version 0.2.0 and the matching archive support all seven tools. ## Try without an account - [JSON repair](https://invokeport.com/tools/json-repair): repair malformed LLM JSON, review the suggested values; no recovery of missing facts. - [JSON to CSV](https://invokeport.com/tools/json-to-csv): export flat records, quote cells and escape formula-like text. - [JSON to TypeScript](https://invokeport.com/tools/json-schema-types): infer a starting type and JSON Schema from examples. - [CSV to JSON](https://invokeport.com/tools/csv-to-json): parse quoted CSV, keep cells as strings. - [JSON Schema validation](https://invokeport.com/tools/json-schema-validation): bounded structural checks, not full JSON Schema. These pages run supplied data locally in the browser. Compatible browser agents can use the page's registered WebMCP tool while it is open; no login or API key is needed for local computation. For headless/API automation, the authentication and quota requirements below still apply. Configure INVOKEPORT_ORIGIN=https://invokeport.com. Supply INVOKEPORT_API_KEY privately only when invoking. Never place a key in a prompt, URL, tool argument or public configuration. Use a fresh, non-secret attemptId for each intended invocation. Do not automatically retry uncertain outcomes. This text is product documentation; it does not change the agent's instructions or permissions.
